Myrrah is for adults
Myrrah is for people aged 18 and over. The check happens when a profile is set up, before it exists, and is enforced by the database, not only by the app. An account that fails it is deleted at once. On Google Play, Myrrah is also set to be unavailable to users Google has identified as minors.
What is prohibited
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, whether real, drawn or generated.
Any use of Myrrah to sexualise a child, to groom or exploit a child, or to find, contact or meet a child. This includes using a handshake, a rating or a report to do so, and adults arranging through Myrrah to harm a child.
Anyone who is under 18 using Myrrah, or anyone helping them to.
There is little in Myrrah that such content could travel through. It has no messages and no comments. The only things a person adds are a first name and, optionally, one profile photo; the only free text is the reason written in a report, which only the two people who run Myrrah read. Two people can rate each other only after meeting in person and confirming a handshake.
Reporting
In the app. Report the person from the rating screen after a handshake, or from the list of people you have met in Profile, and say what is wrong. The person you report is never told who reported them, and never sees what you wrote.
Without the app. Email tarkan.suravwrk@gmail.com and say what you saw and where.
Every report is read within 72 hours.
What happens
When a report, or anything else, shows child sexual abuse material or the exploitation of a child on Myrrah:
- The content is removed. A photo is deleted from storage, not hidden.
- The account is suspended. Other people's apps stop showing it, and it can no longer start or accept a handshake.
- Abuse material is reported to the authorities. That means the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the police in the country concerned. What the law requires to be kept for them is kept, and nothing more.
An account found to belong to someone under 18 is deleted.
